About you
Do you have an ambition to become a CTO but don’t have the opportunity to develop your strategic or client facing skills in your current role?
This role is ideal for you if you are either:
An existing Lead Developer or Technical Lead who would welcome the opportunity to move away from the day-to-day coding and project delivery and use their technical capabilities in a unique and challenging environment. From your experience building software solutions you will understand software and platform architectures and development methodologies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use that knowledge to advise senior stakeholders of the technology risks and opportunities that are present in their technology stacks and teams.
Or;
A Technical Architect who has experience of designing and implementing technology platforms and technology strategies. You may have been involved in due diligence processes previously through M&A activities or procurement processes. Your experience of assessing technologies in the context of a business’s requirements will mean you are well placed to help advise senior stakeholders as to the appropriateness of technology solutions and any potential risks.
Regardless of background, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about technology, and have the ability to quickly get under the skin of technology issues and concisely communicate your opinions to the wider team and stakeholders.

About the Role
As a Technical Consultant you will a focal point for everything technical on our Technology Due Diligence projects.
You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, understanding their technology estates, auditing good practice, assessing systems (applications & infrastructure), people capability and processes and advising on risks, improvement opportunities and then help in delivering change.
You will be involved at all stages of the client lifecycle, from pre-sales to delivery ensuring that all client requests are delivered in an efficient way. Our technology consultants are trusted advisors to our clients and your expertise will contribute to the development of their business.
Role Requirements
- Previous experience as either a Lead Developer, Technical Consultant or Technical Architect
- An awareness, appreciation, or experience of:
- Development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Wagile, Waterfall, V-model)
- Application/software architectures (monolithic, microservices, micro-frontends, backend-for-frontend)
- Platform architectures (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS, Serverless)
- Ability to perform code/peer reviews in languages of your choice (E.g. .NET, Java, TypeScript, Go, Swift – you may be a polyglot developer)
- Experience of senior Stakeholder Management
- A desire to use your technical expertise to advise colleagues and clients
- Broad Industry experience (Highly Beneficial)
