Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Security Consultant to join our team.

Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who can:
- Act as a SME/ Consultant to support IT DD / IT Assessment to ensure we have a reasonable understanding of a Company’s security risks and quality of the mitigations
- Understand and interpret the findings from security engagements in a way that the client (e.g PE house) could understand and support the prioritisation of these risks in the clients roadmap.
You will join our Professional Services team, consulting across a wide range of clients and industry sectors. You will help our clients achieve business success with technology by assessing technology systems, recommending innovative solutions and helping to define change management programmes.

The role will involve:
You will work closely with the consultancy team to deliver assessments, against industry best practice, of client’s technology estates and governance functions in order to understand the associated security risk and the extent to which mitigations are effective.
You will also support in the development and delivery of new security services.
Essential Skills
A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in a cyber security focussed role and the following:
- Experience of conducting Cyber Security Risk/Maturity assessments
- Ability to translate policy and regulatory requirements into cost effective technical solutions
- Ability to explain security issues to technical and non-technical audiences clearly and convincingly
- Good Communication to CxO level
- Experience with industry recognised cyber security frameworks such as ISO270001:2013, NIST 800-53 or the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM,CRISC or similar)
Beneficial skills
Working knowledge of GDPR.
Understanding of Security strategies and technologies including:
- secure network design
- cloud security principles
- secure web services
- application security
- security monitoring

Location
The role will be conducted largely remotely for the foreseeable future in light of COVID 19, but as and when circumstances permit, the successful candidate will attend meetings as required in our Manchester office, albeit it is likely that there will be a significant amount of homeworking available once offices reopen.
