The Role
As a Principal you are responsible for the overall engagement (Presales support, Service development, Project Delivery and Client management). Stakeholder engagement is a key requirement as you will be dealing with the leadership team from a mature, well-established business through to Investor Directors and Co-Founders of high growth, scale up businesses.
You need to be a dynamic and flexible individual who can adapt quickly to challenging situations. Our Assess projects are usually delivered over a short term (over 2 - 8 weeks). Clients rely on our deliverables to make strategic investment decisions, so we need to be responsive and deliver value quickly, often at short notice.
You must be more than business savvy, as you will need to quickly get to grip with how Technology can help the client improve / deliver their business outcomes, often with limited information. Then, convince the client to engage us, in making change happen.
We are not looking for a sales person. We need to hire people with consulting skills, people who are passionate about technology. People with experience of working across multiple businesses and industry sectors. People who understand how companies grow & scale, quickly and sustainably.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a technical role (e.g. Technical team lead, mid/senior software engineer, architect) with broad technology familiarity across different languages/platforms/environments gained from multiple roles previously. You should have a solid and proven track record with multiple success stories to talk about.
- Have the ability to co-ordinate internal and client stakeholders with a high degree of sensitivity and professionalism.
- Past experience of building bespoke software solutions and/or the considerations involved in doing so.
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (ideally AWS) and contemporary configuration management, containerisation/orchestration and operational monitoring (CICD)

Deliverables
- Support business development and pre-sales activities.
- Understand client requirements and determine the right services or propose solutions to meet their individual needs.
- Review any pre-site information and conduct any necessary R&D to identify client issues up front.
Delivery
- Leading client workshops to assess the current state of Technology within an organisation and provide recommendations or improvements to increase value through technology.
- Interpreting findings and presenting conclusions to clients in written or verbal format
- Proposing solutions to problems in collaboration with the project team, using industry best practices and research findings
- Maintain quality standards throughout our engagements.
- Work collaboratively and engage and support other team members or Peers.
